CONNECTING YOU TO YOURSELF AND NATURE

Our philosophy

Country Karma is a collaboration of teachers and practitioners from different disciplines coming together to provide interesting and fun retreats and lessons with a purpose.  It is our job to give you the tools and space to reflect on your lives, and become the best human being you can be.   You will leave us having learned something meaningful that you can take back to your everyday lives.

Nature connection is integral to our philosophy.  Our founder and meditation teacher, Guillaume Feldman, who previously spent 20 years as an environmentalist, has seen first hand how important nature is to our well-being and made it a central pillar of practice.  We are designed to live in the natural world, connected to that web of life, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells  of nature, and that in turn improves our mental and physical well-being.  It also allows us to think and feel differently about ourselves and our lives.  We therefore make sure that each retreat takes place in a countryside setting close to London, and specifically in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  All our accommodation is glamping style meaning that you wake up with the birds and the bees.

We believe passionately that our retreats should create good karma in the world.  Therefore we commit to:

  • 25% of all profits go towards rewilding (specifically for the reintroduction of previously extinct British species such as the beaver and lynx) & for the education of young people from deprived areas.
  • £5 per person from each programme goes towards tree planting, rising to £10 per person for week long retreats, so as to offset any CO2 produced from running our programmes.
  • Source organic food locally wherever feasible.
